Jacinta McDevitt is the author of three best selling novels, ‘Sign’s On’, ‘Handle With Care’ and ‘Excess Baggage’. She is also one of the authors in Poolbeg’s just published, “Thirty and Fabulous”, a collection of short stories from its leading female authors. Her story “Skin Deep” is a powerfully emotive story that leaves you laughing and crying at the same time.
Jacinta was short-listed for the Francis McManus Awards with her short story “Way To Go, Dad”. She has won awards and prizes at festivals all around the country. Now she shows us how to write in this terrific book 'Write A Book In A Year, Writing Workshop & Workbook'.
Jacinta was a Speech and Drama teacher. Then she became a writer. Now she is both a writer and a teacher of writing. She has given writing workshops for Fingal County Council and others. As a result of the popularity of these workshops and due to a demand she couldn’t keep up with, Jacinta has now put her hugely successful workshop into book form.
